Setting your availability and business hours

Your availability rules tell HAB which time slots it's allowed to offer customers. Setting them well keeps your schedule realistic and your days organized.

Set your working hours

  1. Open the Calendar section and go to Availability (or Business Hours).
  2. Set the days you take appointments and the start and end times for each day.
  3. Block out any recurring unavailable times, such as a lunch break.
  4. Save.

Set appointment length and buffers

  • Appointment length — How long a typical visit takes (for example, 60 or 90 minutes). HAB offers slots in this size.
  • Buffer time — Padding between appointments so your crew has time to travel. Even 30 minutes prevents back-to-back bookings on opposite sides of town.
  • Daily limit — Optionally cap how many jobs HAB can book per day.

Block off time off

Add time off or holidays so HAB won't book during them. Existing events on your connected calendar are also treated as busy, so HAB never double-books over something you scheduled yourself.

Tip: Start conservative. It's easy to widen your availability later once you see how the volume feels — much harder to claw back a day you over-booked.

Note: HAB only books inside the windows you set here and around events already on your connected calendar. If customers say no slots are offered, check that your availability isn't fully blocked.
