Adding your services, pricing, and service area

Giving HAB clear service, pricing, and coverage details is the single biggest thing you can do to improve booking quality.

Add your services

  1. Open Bot from the left sidebar and go to the Knowledge Base tab.
  2. In Training Data, find Top Services — a tag list of job types you offer.
  3. Type a service name (for example, "AC repair" or "drain cleaning") and press Enter, or separate names with commas. Each tag becomes one service.
  4. Repeat until you've listed every service you offer. Be specific — add "drain cleaning" and "water heater installation" separately rather than just "plumbing."

Note: Services are stored as names only — there is no per-service description field. Use Business Summary for general descriptions of what your company does.

Top Services — type each job type and press Enter or use commas to create tags.

Add pricing

  1. In the same Training Data section, open Pricing Guidance — a single text area for all pricing information.
  2. Describe how you charge in plain language — a flat service call fee, a typical range ("most repairs run $150 to $400"), or "free estimate."
  3. Save your changes.

Pricing Guidance — enter your fees, ranges, or free-estimate notes in one place.

Note: HAB does not support per-service pricing. Put all pricing details in Pricing Guidance. You control how much HAB shares — if you'd rather quote on site, say "free estimate" or "priced after inspection" and HAB will use that instead of giving a number.

Set your service area

  1. In the same Knowledge Base tab, find Service Areas — another tag list, just like Top Services.
  2. Type a city or ZIP code and press Enter, or separate entries with commas.
  3. Save your changes.

Service Areas — add the cities and ZIP codes where you take jobs.

When a caller's address falls outside your area, HAB won't waste a slot — it lets them know you don't cover that location.

Note: There is no separate out-of-area setting. To control how HAB responds when someone is outside your coverage, describe the behavior in Additional Guidance or Unknown-Answer Policy.

Tip: Keep this current. If you expand into a new town or drop a service, update the Knowledge Base the same day so HAB never books work you can't do.
